Cool! "We are living in exponential time." Imagine everything will go in exponential form (not only technology): you'll make more money, produce more babies, live longer...
Future human beens will be so much more cultivate. That means more school.

Complete nonsense. With their lack of prove, I can't believe that doomsday is on 2012. What the Maya calendar says is an outdated hypothesis. We need more scientific facts to prove it.

Let's concentrate on the possibility that doomsday will not occur in this decade.

First : China will become the most powerful country and might beat the United States.
Second : Asians and technology will rule the world.

Technology in society or technology and culture refers to the cyclical co-dependence, co-influence, co-production of technology and society upon the other (technology upon culture, and vice-versa). This synergistic relationship occurred from the dawn of humankind, with the invention of the simple tools; and continues into modern technologies such as the printing press and computers.

Sociological factors and effects

The use of technology has a great many effects; these may be separated into intended effects and unintended effects. Unintended effects are usually also unanticipated, and often unknown before the arrival of a new technology. Nevertheless, they are often as important as the intended effect.

In the following decade, people will continue to rely on technology. We will put faster new product on the market. New inventions will be built to make our life easier. And people will become lazy and incompetent.

Not for everyone. The technological development is linked with the economic development, and, therefore, it is directly proportional to the disparity. Thus, poor countries will become poorer and rich countries, richer. People who live in underdeveloped country or region will not be affected by the dependence of technology.

That's true. But the rich countries do have a better importance than the poor countries. They are the ones who decide and influence everyone's behavior.

I don't see the point of the discussion. Technology will become greater, higher and phenomenon, and all human been will be directly or indirectly affected by the co-dependence of technology. It's a common sens. Everyone knows that. It's a fact now. I mean, what are we supposed to say. We all have the same position. mm12

Woah! This vid scared me. o_O
Indeed, I think technology will become "greater, higher and phenomenon, and all human been will be directly or indirectly affected by the co-dependence of technology." I also think it will surpass our humanity. Very soon...

It is wrong to say it will surpass, because our technology is a consequence of our humanity.

Technology will surpass humanity. There's nothing wrong in here. The fact that it in the consequence of our humanity doesn't mean that it cannot surpass humanity.
Imagine technology were a little child. Once you educated him, raised him and gave him everything that you knew to him, he would be at the same level as you. But if other people were involved in his life, taught him everything they knew, he would surpass you. Technology had absorb many great people's knowledge who had high IQ. And technology had always existed. From the ancient Egyptian time to now, how much knowledge did it absorb?
"Think about it." Yeah, just think about it. XD
So, I will not be surprised if, during this decade, the world will be conquered by computers and robots.

You're so outdated. XD
Many robots have been built and on sale legally in on the market. But I suppose that you're talking about humanoid robot. Of cause, they're on sale, but thee are functional prototypes that have been built. And also gynoids. You can find many examples on Wikipedia. Very Happy
