Animal sacrifices for scientific research {250 words essay}

Stop killing
You monster! Don’t you understand how cruel you are? Using animal to satisfy human’s desires, that’s intolerable! Have you ever thought how horrible the consequence would be? It’s a shame to be human.
Why do we have all those chemical products, what do they help for the harmony of our planet? Vaccines, medications and bla bla bla are desires, not needs. What we need is food, water, a family and a place to live. What does all those shampoos and lotion have to do with us in life?
Think about it; think about how much lives we sacrificed for one bottle of Tylenol. Jesus! The value of a mouse’s life is really that small? It’s crazy, man! How come our mind become like that? Our selfishness made us going crazy about chemical and crushing the other species. It’s unforgettable!
Look how much we are on Earth; 6.8 billions of people living and consuming chemical products. If it’s not because of vaccines and medications, how could we ever become so massif? Let us keep in mind that the Earth can’t support more than 7 billions. So, if we reach there, that means fewer places for animals and more killing.
I’m not pessimist, but the situation of our development is catastrophically astonishing. If we took more attention to the consequence of our actions, animals’ lifetime wouldn’t be this sort and today’s I wouldn’t be writing this. Sincerely, please be aware.

If you want to stop "killing" (notice that killing also means killing for food or other proposes), you have to convince the companies to stop their production and to accept possible bankruptcy or the people to boycott the chemical products; such as shampoos, lotions, Tylenol,...
But with the arguments that your giving in the essay, it's... failed.

I found it weird that people want to save animals while they are not even able to stop human killing (murders, wars...).
It's just like you save homeless dogs and you beat your wife at home.
It's not sincere.

Animal testing, also known as animal experimentation, animal research, and in vivo testing, is the use of non-human animals in experiments, particularly model organisms such as nematode worms, fruit flies, zebrafish, and mice. Worldwide, it is estimated that 50 to 100 million vertebrate animals are used annually, along with a great many more invertebrates. Although the use of flies and worms as model organisms is very important, experiments on invertebrates are largely unregulated and not included in statistics. Most animals are euthanized after being used in an experiment[citation needed]. Sources of laboratory animals vary between countries and species; while most animals are purpose-bred, others may be caught in the wild or supplied by dealers who obtain them from auctions and pounds.
- Spoiler:
- The research is conducted inside universities, medical schools, pharmaceutical companies, farms, defense establishments, and commercial facilities that provide animal-testing services to industry. It includes pure research such as genetics, developmental biology, behavioural studies, as well as applied research such as biomedical research, xenotransplantation, drug testing and toxicology tests, including cosmetics testing. Animals are also used for education, breeding, and defense research.
Supporters of the practice, such as the British Royal Society, argue that virtually every medical achievement in the 20th century relied on the use of animals in some way,[4] with the Institute for Laboratory Animal Research of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences arguing that even sophisticated computers are unable to model interactions between molecules, cells, tissues, organs, organisms, and the environment, making animal research necessary in many areas. Some scientists and animal rights organizations, such as PETA and BUAV, question the legitimacy of it, arguing that it is cruel, poor scientific practice, poorly regulated, that medical progress is being held back by misleading animal models, that some of the tests are outdated, that it cannot reliably predict effects in humans, that the costs outweigh the benefits, or that animals have an intrinsic right not to be used for experimentation. The practice of animal testing is regulated to various extents in different countries.
